What an Opening Day!

MRG_Dec.jpg

The snow began on Thanksgiving and rarely stopped, with accumulations continuing almost nightly on General Stark's flanks. With the hill beautifully covered due to the dedication of Mountain Operations coupled to the magic of the Lake Champlain effect, the decision was made to open a week early. Unforecasted snow continued to fall into the morning of December 7th, ensuring fresh tracks for all.

Since opening day (with exception of the past few days), it’s been early-season skiing at Mad River Glen at its finest, with possibly one of the best opening days in recent memory. Yet, as skiing memories are fleeting, we eagerly await the next snow cycle, enduring the typical early winter thaw while enjoying the opportunity to utilize our new double mid-station. Hopefully, and per Josh Fox’s predictions, by the time this Bulletin reaches your inbox, the next cycle will have commenced.
